Our Story
Founder & owner Matt Kosoy took his passion for bread & delicious, old fashioned recipes & made it into a reality. He began in 2016, baking loaves for neighbors & local cafes here in Pacifica, right out of his kitchen and garage!
It wasn’t until 2019, when he opened the doors to the production facility & storefront, breathing life into Rosalind Bakery, named after his grandma.
Our sourdough & pastries are carefully crafted, naturally-leavened, & baked fresh everyday, by hand. We source all of our ingredients from the flour to the coffee beans from small, local, and quality businesses.

Rosalind, located in the Pacific Manor shopping center, is a short walk from the beach. “It doesn’t get too hot or too cold here,” he said. “The ocean has a powerful effect on the atmosphere, with both humidity and salinity in the air. It’s a special environment for making a fermented product, specifically bread. It’s all about being slow and low and consistent; that’s what yeast and lactobacilli need. And love.”

Operating hours, Tuesday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm, they’re there to sweeten your weekdays.
